The NIRS Series Spectrometer utilizes a TE-cooled InGaAs detector coupled with a diffraction grating, optimized for NIR spectroscopic measurements that demand exceptional signal-to-noise ratio and high dynamic range across the 0.9–2.5 µm spectral range. This system employs an innovative, patent-pending single-detector scanning technology that delivers several key advantages: (1) unmatched low cost, (2) industry-leading sensitivity with deep cooling to –40 °C, (3) extended spectral coverage beyond conventional spectrometers, (4) low power consumption, (5) an integrated MEMS chopper, and (6) high spectral resolution. Additional features include photon integration for ultra-low-noise detection and digital connectivity via USB or RS232, supported by an intuitive GUI. The NIRS Series spectrometers provide high performance with extremely low noise, making them ideal for demanding applications. Their excellent sensitivity enables broadband analysis of solids, liquids, and gases in the NIR range, chemical composition and moisture measurements, as well as narrowband tasks such as NIR laser characterization. However, the system is not intended for high-speed measurement applications. Each NIRS unit comes standard with a USB interface, and software support includes SDK examples, DLLs for custom software integration, and a Windows-based spectral acquisition and analysis suite. The GUI allows automated data collection with relative intensity scaling. Slit sizes determining sensitivity and wavelength resolution are factory-set for optimal performance.
